Goodbye Shuffle

Earlier this morning I was finding my iPod Shuffle to bring to camp but I just couldn't find it. I thought I might had misplace it somewhere and wanted to find it when I return. Now I don't have to cause it's already been found. I forgot to take it off my uniform yesterday and my mum put my uniform into the washing machine. Thus my shuffle got washed together with my uniform. When my sis tried to on it, it won't work anymore. So there goes my iPod Shuffle.

Anyway I think I'm gonna get this soon. I just love the sleek look and functions.

The Malays and the Indians received their pay yesterday. This is due to the festive celebration next week. Usually we'll receive our pay on the 10th of every month. No doubt most of us are happy with the early pay day. However it'll be a long wait til the next one. Since we already received our November pay, the next pay day will be on the 10th of December. That's like 6 weeks from now. I bet by mid November, lots of people will be whinning bout having no money.

How I wish the SAF will increase our pay or at least a bonus for the festive season. Especially for us service side man who I feel are being underpaid. Meals, bills and transportation already cost a bomb in Singapore. And most of us would want to get new clothing or traditional clothing for the festive. It's not easy to get something extra with not much cash to spare. Luckily for me my parents are still supporting me with bills, meals,transportation etc. With $390 per month, it's never enough. I feel like I'm still a kid.

Anyway I've bought a set of baju kurung this year. I wanted to use an old one but my mum insist I get a new one since I didn't buy it last year. I remember wanting to get pink 2 years ago but my mum said it was too girlish. So this year I told her I'm getting pink again and surprisingly she's fine with it. I was too lazy to find one so I told her to get it for me. I don't think everyone in the family is wearing pink though this year. Usually my family will all be in the same colour or 2 different colours the most. I only know my mum wearing purple and I'm wearing pink. No idea what my dad and sis got though although my sis has a purple set made for this year as well.

Blogging Begins

Finally I'm back to the blogging world after being away for more than a year. For the past few days, I've been reading some of my friend's blog and was surprised to find out that a lot are still blogging. That gave me the urge to start blogging as well. Initially I thought that only a few of them would still be blogging since they are busy with NS, school or work life.

Life been pretty ok for me. I'm attached to 29 SIB this week so it isn't too bad. I saw an accident today at GSMB (Ayer Rajah Camp). A 5-tonner was reversing without realising that there's a mini bus parked behind it. Thus the monster hit the mini bus and smashed the front. Both the vehicle commander and driver were at fault. The vehicle commander should get down and guide the driver and the driver should ensure that it's safe to reverse and also get the vehicle commander to guide before reversing.

Luckily no one was in the mini bus or they could be badly injured. Actually another mini bus was at that particular spot before that. In there was 5 soldiers, 2 at the front and 3 behind. Since it was raining heavily, someone from the accident mini bus told the driver to move to another spot cause they wanted to park their mini bus there to load some stores (the place was sheltered). And things didn't turn out well for them. If not the soldiers in the mini bus, especially the 2 in front would have been badly injured or even killed. And if that were to happen, I won't be posting this now. Cause the mini bus I was talking about was mine and I was the vehicle commander.
